If your blog consists of tips and techniques, you will definitely want to submit to these tutorial sites below:

  1. Good Tutorials
  2. tutorialized.com
  3. pixel2life.com
  4. instructables.com

Once you submitted your blog post with the relevant information such as blog post URL, post title, keywords, description, etc…You will need to wait for a few days for the editor to manually review and approve them (or reject).  So, make sure your posts are of high quality content. After your posts are published, you can expect a surge in traffic. Do this consistently for every single of your blog posts and this is how you can increase blog traffic.

So, people have to click the link to view the full blog posts. This is how you can funnel the traffic from these great Alexa site to your blog. @Ming Jong: Brian just started charging the one time fee this month. I think you gave me a good idea for a Twitter contest with the prize being a BE membership fee. I’ll be in touch with you about it soon. Thanks!

If you subscribe to one of Blog Engage’s RSS Membership services, they will waive the one-time-fee to join. Their “Bronze Membership” (which I subscribe to) is $1.99 a month. That makes it affordable and you can cancel it at any time if you decide that it’s not for you.

I was really surprised BlogEngage wasn’t on the list as it has more traffic and a larger community than every other site listed in the Blogging Community section. It is membership only though and costs $29.99 to join, however I wrote about how you can join and get registration for far less by joining the RSS Syndication Program.

Great resource list Ming Jong. Using these sites can create a serious flow of traffic…

Helpful stuff. Hadn’t realize there was a sign up fee for BlogEngage now either so I’m glad to have an ear into this conversation too.

@Ming Jong: It sure will mate. Thanks for digging my comment out of spam. Are you using Akismet by any chance?

I found it ‘spammed’ too many genuine comments, so I switched to GASP instead…

That’s true Ming Jong, it will basically perform the same function as Captcha but in a simpler way. The effect (as I’m sure you’re well aware) is to knock out all spambot comments in one go. So you won’t need both running.

Manual spam is a harder issue to deal with – I get a few spam comments fairly regularly, which I have to moderate myself. But the alternative is activating Akismet, which means I have to moderate genuine comments out of spam and back onto the posts!

So it depends which way you want to do it…

Let me know if you find any better solutions! :)

Hi Ming,

First time here. Your comments on FamousBloggers got my attention.

Anyway, I really like promoting my blog with tutorial sites and blogging communities. However, how would you use those Design News Aggregators if your niche is a totally different one? I mean dont you have to publish design related posts?…

Geat list Ming and it’s appreciated along with the other reports I’ve downloaded from you. Do you know any blogs that promote directories? Would love to get the word out about the ones I’m working on.

Thanks

Hi Ming,
Great list, but I have a question for you. What’s the best way to promote my new site (www.listburn.com) that is NOT a blog-based site? I’m trying to leverage the power of the blogger and social media, but not sure “where it belongs” if that makes sense. What are your recommendations?
Thanks,
Steve

I am excited to follow you and hope to learn more as I go.
